My Pond

    I have seen many web pages of other peoples ponds. Now it my turn. Here is my Pond, "Lake Sue". This winter when it cools down I will add "Lake Joyce", with river to connect them together and an additional waterfall and bridges. The more pond I have the less grass I have to mow.

How it happened

I have always had an aquarium and I wanted a big one. In the spring of 1998 I dug a hole and put fish in it. Also Water. In the winter of 1998 "Bailey" my yellow lab, a sixty pound lap dog ate the pond. In the spring of 1999 I rebuilt the pond and enlarged it. Its now 2000 gals with a one foot high waterfall where 1200 gal per hour stream out with a delightful roar. Also there is a six foot underground filter made of well points and gravel that feed 300 gals per hour to "Barrel Fall" In the bottom I have placed three underwater color lights to illuminate the falls. To all this I have water plants, water hibiscus, lilies, coon tail, sensitive plant and others. The pond is lined with small low growing flowers and ground cover. My fish number 25 +/- and in the photo you see my two koi. I also have goldfish, fantail, and assorted other fish and FROGS. At night our bedroom window faces the waterfall and on a cool evening with window open, the pond sings lullabies of the waters roar and toads singing their evening love songs. ribet! "I set beside the Singing Waters"

This is the life
It just don't get any better than this.

I have other hobbies also, I play Drums for a local rock-n-roll band, model airplanes, Women's Mud Wrestling, honey-dews and of course the internet
